Format for the meetings Each meeting tends to follow a similar format in a friendly and informal setting. Members and guests arrive a little prior to 7.00pm for a chat and to catch-up on the news; and also perhaps submit items for auction or look at lots being offered by others The minutes of the previous meeting are read and a short agenda follows. This is followed by coffee / tea and biscuits and the auction of lots submitted by members. After this has concluded the display is presented by the member whom having perhaps given a brief outline of the display then passes round the sheets. Questions can be asked and general conversation about the display often takes place as items of particular interest are seen. After a vote of thanks is given for the display members gradually leave. |
