At the request of some users we are starting to add a numbering system to the listings provided on this site.

      The numbering will consist of three letters and a number to donote the country and stamp, thus USA1 will be the basic 5c stamp in Red-brown depicting Franklin. By clicking on the stamp, the user is taken to a more detailed listing where variations shuch as shade, watermark and so forth are listed. These again have a unique number such as USA1a, USA1b and so on.

      This system should allow for an almost endless anount of information to be added to the catalogue with each item being assigned a unique number and thus allowing identification to any level as required.
