1844 Horizontal Ovals
     These cancellations were brought into use in 1844 for the London suburban offices. During the period of their use, cetain numbers were re-allocated to new offices and existing offices were issued with new handstamps, which differed slightly from the original issue.

     This listing has been presented in two formats which both contain the same information. The numericial list presents the stamps in number order, (in groups of 10), with the details for each. The alphabeticial listing presents this information by office name, (grouped by the initial letter of the office).

     The illustrations have been kept to near original size when viewed on a 15" screen. If the pictures are downloaded and used in a document, they will appear twice normal size. All the illustrations are relative to each other, so where a later type appears smaller, this is actually the case.
